Love the new cover design. Brilliant. Sophisticated yet somehow casual, intriguing with the tear down it - makes me want to read the book! :)

Hi Aidana!

The cover is interesting. The rip catches attention and holds it, and the contrast of colors is good. The only thing I noticed that seemed out of place is that three of the "friends" on the cover all appear to have similar heads. Ony the man on the far left appears to have hair, while the other all appear bald. Which may be accurate to the story. (Obviously I don't know) It's just something I noticed.

Other than that, nice work. ^_^

The one I saw was in Berkley, Old Norfolk. No fence, dilapidated, spooky...lol... about 7 or 8 of tombstones. Worn with time and elements.

I though "Damn I'm glad I don't live in THAT house!"

There is the basis for your next book... the heroin is forced through circumstance to live a house with an old graveyard for a back yard...lol.

You know, we should collaborate on your next book, what's on the writing table now?

Lynnhaven Middle School sits across the street from the mall. If you drive past it, keep an eye on the strip of property outside the fence. There is one spot where the fence drops back maybe just a couple yards wide, and there are three or four tombstones wide open on a busy road. Its one of the weirdest gravesites I've seen. There are some little old neglected cemeteries tucked all over the place.

Oh, and you're welcome. Anytime!

Not a problem. Gotcha covered. I left you a comment for your approval.

I grew up in Norfolk, and then I moved to Virginia Beach. I've been in Tidewater my whole life, and I'm not too sure I could ever fit in anywhere else. Norfolk is a great place for pictures, as it has a lot more history than most places. After all, it's one of the oldest official cities in the entire country, if I'm not mistaken. I especially love going to the Hermitage Museum with my camera. It's like being in another world! One of these days I'm gonna get some pictures of those old cemetaries. Talk about creepy!

Storytellers Unplugged

What I Learned From Blogging About the Kindle

Last month, when I finally decided to “come out” about owning a Kindle, I learned two things. One, after reading some of the comments about my blog entry, I realized that I have always written about “safe” topics, ones that are least likely to stir up controversy, and heaven forbid, make [...]

Let’s Just Pretend The Last 8 Months Never Happened

Looks like it was a sabbatical after all.

Last March, after close to a three-year tenure, I hung up my Storytellers U hat — the one with the Viking horns and a beer funnel — without knowing whether this would be permanent or temporary. Couldn’t help but notice, in the interim, that lords-of-the-manor [...]

Q&A the Second

Q: How does it feel to walk away? You’ve just complete a ginormous four book cycle (well, you finished it a while ago). Is it refreshing to turn back to other things, or do you light-headed?

A: The answer, of course, is yes. I am tremendously grateful to be done with the Doctrine of Labyrinths, but [...]

When I Wish I Wasn’t a Writer

When people ask me what I do for a living, I am always at a bit of a loss as to how to answer.  It sounds a little too highfaluting to announce, “I am an author.”  You just can’t say that sentence without sounding like you graduated from Oxford, or that you [...]
