Dude,

I'm in your bedroom digging around your underwear drawer. I can NOT believe how nicely folded everything is. I can't wait to check out your medicine cabinet!

Oh crap, I think you just pulled up outside...Gotta run!

Rap with ya later!

Wow, it was so cool!

I have been trying to take my my wife on a date to this really exclusive restaurant in town. But they are always booked and pretty rude about letting 'the common people' in.

I don't know what came over me but I told the host at the door, 'I'm a friend of Vince Churchill' and not only did we get a table right away but they compted our meal!

I owe ya a solid, dude, I really do. I'm trying for a skybox at a Packers game next.

Well, Mr. Churchill,

Visited your website. Very impressive indeed. Only thing you're missing on your resume is a cook book!

Ever give it thought?

Season of Mystery: The Cherry Blossom Murders

Last year Chet Williamson was commissioned by Square/Enix, the Japanese computer game company, to write a mystery game. After having worked on it with the development team and artists for nearly a year, the game has just been released.

The Monster Book of Zombies

Originally published in 1993, The Mammoth Book of Zombies (edited by Stephen Jones) was re-released this year as a Barnes & Noble hardcover for $7.98 and re-titled, The Monster Book of Zombies.

Storytellers Unplugged

Gorilla, My Love

[John is suffering computer woes at the moment.  I told him I'd find something appropriate to fill his slot, and found this archived post of his from September of 2006.  Enjoy!]

A long time ago, there was this gorilla I knew. I was out of work, and the gorilla was similarly unemployed. At [...]

A novel a month?

Well, it’s November again. Halloween is done Thanksgiving is on the way (Pause here, folks, and contemplate what you have to be thankful for. The odds are there’s a good deal going right, even if there’s some negatives out there.) and a plethora of various religious celebrations are eight around the corner. Some of my [...]

The Compounds (and compound-complexes) of Style

Perhaps you believe in the soul. Perhaps you don’t, and only view a living being as a series of biological functions acting in concert.  Under either philosophy, you will view a dead body as different from a living person.  All of the physical components are there, but the core of the individual is gone.

At this [...]

What I Learned From Blogging About the Kindle

Last month, when I finally decided to “come out” about owning a Kindle, I learned two things. One, after reading some of the comments about my blog entry, I realized that I have always written about “safe” topics, ones that are least likely to stir up controversy, and heaven forbid, make [...]

Let’s Just Pretend The Last 8 Months Never Happened

Looks like it was a sabbatical after all.

Last March, after close to a three-year tenure, I hung up my Storytellers U hat — the one with the Viking horns and a beer funnel — without knowing whether this would be permanent or temporary. Couldn’t help but notice, in the interim, that lords-of-the-manor [...]
